Self awareness plays a major role in the direction that your life goes and it affects all areas from your health to your career to your relationship. Until recently, I was absolutely lost – I didn’t know what I want, what’s my purpose, and how my life will be for the next 25 years. This left me in a cycle of working 9-5, going home to relax by watching movies, waiting for the weekend to come, and then repeating. I started to hate myself and my life, I couldn’t accept this way of living. My frustration motivated me to break out of that cycle and sent me on a quest to know myself.
The very first thing I did was write a list. I wrote a list on things I was good at, things I enjoy, what I’m good at on the list of things I enjoy, fears, and so on. Right after writing that list, I automatically got a sense of what direction I wanted to head towards. The next step was a simple one: explore. Exploring doesn’t necessarily mean travel. It means to step out of your comfort zone, try new things, and take on your fears. Keep at it and you’ll start to become more aware of who you are and these details will keep refining until you find a purpose. Apply the insights learned from your experiences with a little bit of discipline and you’re on the path of designing the life you want to live.
Thus far, the result of my quest has led my life to take on new meaning with confidence, self love, and a radiant energy. I’m so eager to live and charge at every goal that I have. Life feels much more vibrant and I want it to feel like this for everyone.25 People liked this post.
