Last Saturday, NYC had its first snowfall!  The idea of having snow everywhere for a white Christmas is so beautiful, especially with all of the lights and trees around.  The only con is probably the cold weather but wearing the right clothes to keep you warm will make it better.  It’s definitely good to bundle up with layers of clothing but I’m going to be honest.  I don’t particularly enjoy layering up because it makes me feel weighed down, heavy and almost sloppy.  I prefer keeping it light so that I can move fluidly without things falling off or slowing me down.  My typical outfit for this season is a fuzzy sweater, coat (not pictured here), ankle boots, and denim.  With the right kind of material and quality, these pieces keep me just as warm as layered up clothing.

The holiday spirit is rolling in with Christmas movies and music, shopping for gifts, and preparing for holiday parties!  This is my first time spending Christmas with Kyle’s family and his mom wants me to dress up lol.  My family usually celebrate Christmas at home with just my four siblings and mom so I’m usually in sweatpants and a t-shirt.  This year will be a first holiday party for me but I’m not complaining 🙂 I love any excuse to dress up and got the opportunity to collaborate with ASOS on a couple holiday party looks!  For my first look, I chose to keep it fun and playful — wearing a metallic cami dress with strappy heels and topped it with a leather biker jacket.  I adore this look because it can go from playful to semi-formal just by wearing the jacket or taking it off.  A perfect situation to be in if you don’t know the dress code of a party.  Keep an eye out for my second look n_n

Due to unexpected weather conditions and the owner of the venue not showing up to unlock the place,  we had to reschedule the closet sale.  🙁 Super sorry to everyone who waited this morning for the sale.  We’ve rescheduled it to January 8th and more information will be posted when the date is closer.

To make up for our day’s disappointment, we went to eat at Umami and came home to watch kdrama.  We’re caught up on The Legends of the Blue Sea and I am so obsessed at how cute the drama is.  Also, it seems like Heo Joon Jae can read Sim Cheong’s mind now?? I can’t wait until next week’s episode.

Oh my gosh, tomorrow is the day!  It’s my first closet sale ever and I’m so nervous and excited at the same time.  To be honest, I have no clue what I am doing but Jeanne (@thegreylayers) is guiding me through it from organization to set up.  It’s an interesting process from planning out the event, sorting out the clothes, deciding the price, and presenting them.

I’m selling t-shirts, dresses, tops, bottoms and some outwear that I’ve hardly worn tomorrow.  If you’re in NYC, stop by and shop! 🙂 Or at least, say hi! Kyle, Jeanne, and I will all be there.   If you’re not able to come, I’ll document the event to share how it went.  Wish me luck! n_n
